What to prepare

Check who already has permission to manage Assets, and agree which productions, contractors and equipment types your register will cover.

Name the accountable owner

A company administrator, or a named plant or equipment manager, takes overall responsibility — creating Asset Types, approving new records and checking accuracy.

Agree day-to-day contributors

Production managers update maintenance, inspection and location details from the field, while health and safety managers maintain safety-critical flags and linked incidents and observations.

Tip

Set a recurring reminder to check ownership is still correct — role changes and production closures are the most common reasons a register loses its owner.

Next implementation stage
