Why use Assets?

Plant, vehicles, tools, PPE and equipment can represent significant operational cost and safety risk. The Asset Register gives your organisation one place to record what it has, where each asset is used, who is responsible for it and when action is due.

Organise the information your team needs

Each asset record can include its type, ownership, identifiers, condition, safety information, lifecycle dates, photos, files and associated users or contractors.

You can add assets individually, import them from a CSV file and export the Asset Register when required.

Each asset record can include:

  • Asset Type, Asset Subtype and vendor.
  • Ownership, hire and cost information.
  • Serial numbers, registrations and other identifiers.
  • Condition, status and safety information.
  • Maintenance, inspection, warranty and replacement dates.
  • Photos, files, notes and associated users or contractors.

Connect assets to the relevant productions, users and contractor companies. You can also link them to hazards, incidents, safety observations, inspections and corrective tasks, keeping their operational and safety history together.

Keep important dates visible

SetConnect can send reminders for upcoming maintenance, inspections, warranty expiry and expected replacement. You choose who receives each type of reminder and update the relevant date once the work is complete.

Give production teams access in the field

Field teams can view assets for their selected productions in the SetConnect Mobile app. Depending on their permissions, production managers can update asset information, while field users can raise tasks or report safety events against an asset.

The Kiosk App does not support Assets and remains purely a sign-in and sign-out of production tool.

Share asset information using QR codes

SetConnect generates a unique code and QR code for each asset. When scanned, the QR code opens a public, read-only page containing approved asset information without displaying sensitive cost or ownership details.

Plan your Asset Register setup. Decide who will maintain the Asset Register, what information you need to collect, how you will structure your Asset Types and Subtypes, and whether you will add assets manually or import them from a CSV file.
